Hey everyone! I hope you had a great weekend! I spent some time this weekend up in the Adirondacks breathing in the sweet mountain air and relaxing with my family. Relaxing for me is a walk in the woods or sitting on the front porch dreaming up new projects. 🙂 When we got home I spent some time on Pinterest because I’ve been thinking about updating our kids’ bathroom and where else would I go for some inspiration? I’ve always wanted to upcycle a piece of furniture into a vanity (you know I love a good upcycle!) and what better way to add some personality to your bathroom than with a funky piece of painted furniture?I found SO MANY really cool ideas so today I wanted to share 25 unique bathroom vanities (mostly) made from furniture
The level of creativity is ahhmazing!
- An antique bow front dresser. What a way to add a pop of color! And this one already has the mirror attached. Tip – If you are a bit nervous about cutting a large whole in the top of the piece, simply use a bowl sink.
2. An old antique table would be easy if you don’t mind seeing the pipes. It has great space underneath for baskets. Farmhouse love…
3. How about an antique sewing machine table? I love the copper sink and this is the perfect size for a powder room. I’m pretty sure it would need quite a few coats of sealer.
4. This old dresser is so pretty set back in this little niche. It’s so soft and subtle mixed with the bead board.
5. How farmhouse is this?? I know it’s not necessarily furniture but it’s a bit rustic and I love it! Not a whole lot of space for stuff but would be great in a laundry room.
6. This is so pretty and so functional. I love how the faucet comes out of the back.
7. Love the color of this and the size. Holy storage!
8. Such a cool finish with what looks like antique wax or glaze and the legs are so pretty. Perfect for a half bath.

10. How incredibly creative is this? An old soda (or pop, depending where you’re from. :)) machine? Talk about vintage!
11. An antique buffet with mirror and shelf already built in. This has plenty of room for 2 sinks and lots of storage.
12. I don’t think I have ever seen a finish like this but that sink is amazing!
13. This old sideboard makes a gorgeous double vanity. There are some pieces that really shouldn’t be painted and I think this one is one of those. I love the scalloped back and the marble top is so pretty.
14. I love the scroll-y back on this dresser. The bowl sink is a great match and the clear knobs are perfect with the subway tile. And that floor…!!
15. How about an antique hardware cabinet? I love the handles and the mix of the light wood and the dark fixtures and floor.
16. This old chip-y, peal-y cabinet is the perfect fit for this space.
17. How about an antique dry sink? I love that the faucet looks like an old water pump. 🙂
18. This full sewing machine table is the perfect base.

20. I love this beautiful antique dresser and how they removed the original mirror that was attached and hung it on the wall. Clever how they put the faucet to the side.
21. I can’t believe the intricate detail on this buffet and the color is just gorgeous! Talk about character!
22. I love the addition of the round bowl to the top of this old sewing table. The antique handles are so unique and match the faucet perfectly.
23. This bathroom is so peaceful, so pretty and so farmhouse!
24.I know this finish isn’t for everyone but it’s truly unique. I love the rustic feel mixed with the clean, classic subway tile.
25. OK, so I know this is not furniture but really, how cool is this?? Not sure I could pull this off in my house , but talk about character! 🙂
There you go, 25 unique bathroom vanities! Craigslist, garage sales and flea markets are great places to find inexpensive furniture. You may even have a piece already in your home or basement just waiting to be transformed. With a little imagination, paint (or not) and some elbow grease, you can create one of a kind pieces for your home.
